Mission Parish School offers a full day Kindergarten program. The
hours are 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with extended day care until 5:30
p.m. The focus of our program is the development of the whole child
spiritually, socially, emotionally, cognitively, and physically.
Our developmentally appropriate curriculum includes:
- Religion
- An integrated approach to reading and writing
- Phonics instruction
- Math with the use of manipulative materials to develop concepts
and skills
- Social Studies
- Science
- Computer education
- Art
- Music and Movement
- Physical Education
- Spanish
- Dramatic play activities
Special events during the school year include the Teddy Bear Picnic
(Sep), United Nations Day (Oct), Thanksgiving Feast (Nov), Christmas
Program (Dec), 100th Day Celebration (Feb), St. Joseph's Day (Mar),
Mother's Day Tea (May), and Graduation (Jun). We
also attend a field trip to the Ocean Institute in
Dana Point.
